The Digital Health Hub Foundation Awards took place on October 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada on stage at the HLTH conference.

The 9th annual Columbia Data Science Society Hackathon was held October 7-8 in New York City on Columbia University’s campus.

Three Patient Safety Technology Challenge prizes were awarded at the UAB Biomedical Data Science Hackathon held virtually on September 9-10.

DivHacks was held at Columbia University on September 23-24 and included a Patient Safety Technology Challenge prize.

HackAuton was hosted by the Auton Lab at Carnegie Mellon University September 15-17.

HopHacks was held on the Johns Hopkins University campus September 15-17.

HackDuke was held September 8-10 on Duke University’s Durham, North Carolina campus.

The Jewish Healthcare Foundation’s Patient Safety Challenge Fellowship Health Care Redesign Expo and Award Ceremony was held August 14, 2023.

The Society of Critical Care Medicine’s Discovery Datathon was held August 5-6, 2023 in New York City.

The TeenTech Awards were held in London, UK on June 30th, 2023 and included a Patient Safety Technology Challenge award.

On June 22, 2023, the Office of Licensing & Commercialization partnered with the Patient Safety Technology Challenge and held a business pitch program and competition for East Carolina University clinicians, faculty, students, and staff.

Hosted by the University of San Diego and the University of St. Thomas on June 17, 2023, the Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge awarded two Patient Safety Technology Challenge prizes.

MIT’s Critical Datathon, held on MIT’s campus from May 18-19th, 2023, focused on health equity within patient safety.

The Healthcare Innovation Sprint, held May 15-18 at the University of Central Arkansas campus, included a $2,500 prize for the best tech-enabled patient safety solution.

MIT Hacking Medicine’s Grand Hack, held April 20-23, 2023, is one of the largest health hackathons in the world. Thirty-five teams competed in this year’s Patient Safety track.
